Transgender and Gender Diverse Sex Workers Study

Understanding the Safety Needs of Transgender and Gender Diverse Sex Workers in Australia and New Zealand
This research is interested in the safety needs of transgender and non-binary sex workers and their interactions with the police.

You are eligible to participate in this study if you are:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Are currently working or have ever worked in the sex industry in Queensland (including both legal and illegal work). Both residents and non-residents are eligible to participate.
  • Identify as transgender, gender diverse or non-binary

Interviews will take between one and two hours. Participants will be reimbursed $50 for expenses or the cost of participating.
