Amendment to Anti-Discrimination Act 27/11/12

Changes to the the Anti Discrimination Act allowing motels/hotels to lawfully evict sex workers from premises.

The Qld government passed the amendment yesterday 27/11/12 for sex workers to be lawfully evicted from motels/hotels if they are thought to be working from the hotel/motel.

This means that sex workers have lost the right to go to the ADCQ and make a complaint about unfair eviction due to lawful sexual activity.

You can find the changes to the Act - http://www.parliament.qld.gov.au/en/work-of-assembly/bills-and-legislation/whats-new .

You will find the amendment in the Youth Justice/ Boot Camp Orders and other Legislation page 40.
